North Front Range

STE has identified a number of intercity passenger rail projects on the North Front Range. All nine of these projects are going to use the hydrail technology. They are:

   Orange Rail Line from Fort Collins to Thornton (N-Line Extension)
   Brown Rail Line from Thornton (N-Line) to DIA
   Gray Rail Line from Boulder to Brighton
   Green Rail Line from Berthoud to LaSalle
   Purple Rail Line from Loveland to Windsor
   Black Rail Line from Longmont to Johnstown
   Yellow Rail Line from Fort Collins to Greeley
   Blue Rail Line from Greeley to Denver
   Red Rail Line from Fort Collins to Denver

A summary of these nine rail lines is:

   Number of Miles – 279.20 miles
   Number of Stations -126
   Cost of Hydrail Rail Lines – $4.56 billion
   Cost of the Solar Panels – $6.98 billion
   Annual Ridership – 38.24 million
   Number of Solar Panels – 4,950,000
   Number of Homes and Businesses in Solar Program - 212,156

A portion of three rail lines (Gray, Red and Blue) as well as all of the Brown Rail Line are in the RTD-Denver service area and will require RTD approval.
