Established over a decade ago by Bob Briggs, Dr. R. Paul Williamson, and Dave L. Ruble Jr., STE was founded in response to the challenges presented by Colorado's rapid growth. These founders recognized that developing innovative transportation systems and identifying new funding mechanisms were essential for a sustainable future. The video below gives a brief overview of STE-Holdings.
Bob Briggs brought extensive experience as a former state legislator, RTD director, and city councilman/mayor pro-temp for Westminster, Colorado. Dr. R. Paul Williamson has been instrumental in advancing hydrogen gas and renewable energy initiatives during his tenure as an executive at various universities and colleges. Dave L. Ruble Jr. dedicated thirty years to the Colorado Department of Transportation, most notably within the planning department.
Traditionally, major infrastructure projects have relied on federal funding, often leading to extended completion timelines and increased costs. STE-Holdings aims to establish sustainable funding sources and develop transformative transportation projects.
Another significant limitation of conventional approaches is resistance to adopting advanced technologies. The intercity passenger rail projects developed by STE utilize state-of-the-art technology.
By integrating sustainable funding models with modern rail innovations, Colorado is positioned to become a leader in alternative transportation solutions. STE has formulated a comprehensive, near-term, non-tax plan targeting the Front Range, Eastern Plains, and West Slope. The transportation corridors addressed by STE represent areas not traditionally prioritized by government entities.
